Hi all,

Gambling Laws and Regulations keep changing and get more challenging for affiliates in this industry. I have a list of more than 20 countries that enacted a ban on unlicensed casinos. Those enforcements for those unlicensed operators including ISP Blocking, financial fines, Payment Blocking. I think that affiliates promoting those unlicensed casinos will be also related and responsible for these enforcements.

To save a safe stand and survive in this industry, what are your most feasible solution, as an affiliate?

b) stop accepting players from the respective country
c) not giving a ****
d) still accepting players and drop unlicensed casinos. Only promote lawful casinos

What are the pros and cons of each?

Please contribute your thoughts. All are appreciated!

Many thanks,
Jim Henson

1. geotarget the user
2. show them casinos they can play at based on restriction/accept lists of casinos in your database, and filter out those that are not legally permitted.
3. always show them T&Cs, and responsible gaming cues - regardless of GEO [yea. don't be a scumbag - and only show terms where you legally have to, like the UK]

be transparent about gaming laws in the player's geo, and risk involved with playing on casinos from regulator X, regulator Y, no regulator etc (let's remember, just b/c a country has a regulator does not mean that players don't get screwed. many regulators don't solve customer disputes..)

- let players make the EDUCATED decision where to play.. - if they wanna go offshore / gamble with BTC, that's up to them - but do warn them of the trade-offs / risks involved.

tldr, geotarget, be forthright + responsible affiliate
