Obviously I am desperately hoping that the England players perform like they do in the Premiership - and not like the load of clueless headless chickens they always seem to turn into when a big national competition comes along...
They SHOULD easily make the semi-finals at least - but they probably wont.

Hahah KK you sound like a typical English supporter that massively overrates their players and then expects them to do badly anyway!

The vast majority of the best players in the premier league are not English. With the players they have the quarter finals would be a good run, anything more than that will be an over-achievement.

My team Australia are going to be rubbish. Getting a point in their group will be a good result. Everyone always expects them to be rubbish but they usually surprise some people with how good they are. Not this time.

Lol and so right. England is top favourite in England and not even an outsider anywhere else. I wonder how many players of England would make it into the squad in for example France, Brasil or Germany. They have very few players that are one of the guys in the better PL teams.

I would say that France, Brasil, Germany and Spain are the favourites. Difficult to pick one of them. France, Brasil and Spain are teams that can choke on a tournament. Germany is (in theory) perhaps the less of this four.

Based on what I read and see my favorite team will be Argentina because they the compassion to battle against other nations for the World Cup title and also their players have strong personality and has potential in each of their own ways in the Football industry, not only are they uncanny but they are also talented individuals.

As for the soccer world cup I think Argentina will get through the group stage therefore a game by game chance of winning the whole cup. Thoughts??
