My commission at 400 affiliates took a big hit over night but didn't go negative. But it does say xxx.xx "before adjustments" so don't know the final ending. Every month it's the same crap, end of the month, commission get wripped out. I think I can do without them so pulling their links from my site.

Here's a few cut and pastes:

Summary
Total Direct Commission: 1,680.36
Total Referral Commission: 0.00
Bad Deposits - No Settlement: -764.00
Grand Total Commission: 916.36
-------------------------------------
Summary
Total Direct Commission: 1,796.42
Total Referral Commission: 0.00
Bad Deposits - No Settlement: -371.80
Grand Total Commission: 1,424.62
-------------------------------------------------
Summary
Total Direct Commission: 2,557.45
Total Referral Commission: 0.00
Bad Deposits - No Settlement: -1,206.45
Grand Total Commission: 1,351.00

Adjustments carried forward to next month: -892.75
----------------------------------------------------------------

Okay, so, I don't expect to be paid on "bad deposits", but are they really deducting that from the commission? I understand losing the commission on the "bad deposits", but that should be taken from Affiliate Net Win (assuming the "bad deposits" were all lost).

Is my reasoning sound? Am I missing something? WTF seems appropriate.

Yeah, saw that one too. Just got an email from Paul at Superior Share (which I'm sure everyone else got too) that sheds a little more light on it. Still doesn't explain why the total amount of "bad deposits" are being deducted from the commission total though...
------------------------------------------------------
Dear Affiliate,
We have very important news.
First off, we’d like to say that we have done everything possible in our hands to avoid this situation. Unfortunately, Master Card and credit card processing in general is going through a difficult season.
As you may already know, Master Card has stopped taking ALL gaming transactions in the US and this lead to a chain of unfortunate events. The completed deposits (funds) through Master Card, during the last month that we were accepting MC deposits, are being investigated by this company. They have confiscated most of the money with no chance of recovery at the moment.
Henceforth, seized deposits due to the facts explained above, will show up as an adjustment in the affiliate commission reports as: "Bad Deposit - Lost Deposits".
* Please note that it’s most probable to see a reduction in commissions earned in March.
If in the future Master Card releases any of these funds, we will update your reports accordingly. We apologize for the inconvenience.
All American players are being moved to EwalletXpress, or Quicktender in some cases. This depends on the player level and the distribution of invitations we have available. More Quicktender invitations are on their way. Furthermore, NEW PROCESSORS for US Players are being tested and implemented soon, this being our highest priority at the moment.
Please stay tuned for more updates and, of course, we’ll be waiting for your questions so we can answer them as soon as we receive them.
Regards,
With best regards,
Paul Art

Aside from how this affects affiliates, I wonder how they are handling it in regards to players funds. If a player used MC to deposit a month ago and has a winning balance that they haven't cashed out yet, what is going to happen here? Paul?

Pantasia owes me several thousand from last month and they have not replied to my email.I am worrying about their overall stability if they lost so much in the seisure. At the end of the day I have to do what's best for my business , so we are significantly reducing all rival exposures on our network and sending them to CWC and Casino Coins.

Rewards would actually be a great choice. I've been pushing them hard for the last few months, and I've seen a huge increase in earnings as a result. ;D

I can't promote places I would not play , the Hans situation pretty much killed that -again. You are a derailer steve lol.Nope I think Bet365 ,paddy power and the like is where I am heading.USA players is a very small part for us now and i think the few RTG and VEGAS TECH casinos can make them happy. We can't fault them for having their money confisated ,it has happened to other programs and they didn't send us the bill.I seriously wonder how deep Rival pockets are and if they can sustain the loss.

HI Kev,

Regarding your question. If the deposit was completed and player has a winning balance. Player will be fully paid. This apply to all cases with MC deposits completed.

Let me know if you have some other questions please.

Okay, the wording has changed to imply that it's just the commission and not the entire amount being clawed back from commissions...I was hoping they were calculating it wrong, to be honest. :) Pretty good hit at month end...

This does not make sense and they best define this because I have several $7.50 amounts it just seems odd! Yeah they STOLE and I use that word because that is exactly what Rival is doing a lot of jack from us as well!

Where does the seed contribution come in at because I don't think this is it so I am sure we have more being shaved from us then we are seeing on the stats!

well $7.50 is 30% of a $25 deposit. $25 is a typical deposit for Rival so perhaps that what you might be seeing.

For what its worth I don't have any of those bad debts or anything that says settlement so I guess none of my players used MC. I know for a fact that my biggest player uses AE. I do have the -$430 carry over for progressive play.

I'm going to wait and see how it plays out a bit. It's too depressing.

Hi Paul, just for clarification, when you say completed MC deposit your just talking about a successful player MC deposit right? Or would a completed deposit only be defined as one that has been completely settled in your merchant account?

Correct. We're talking about a successful player MC deposit.

This is what I get to see....

Comm. Adjustment for Bad Debts - No Settlement: -970.00

And to top it off... they are not answering emails.

I just told my people that we should not expect to get any payment at all from the 400 group this month or in the future.

I hope I am wrong... But after Mastercard, the change in progressive rules that has affs cutting their traffic and the up-comming UGEIA deadline... I don't hold much hope for the 400 group.
