New Jersey Senator John McKeon proposes a new bill, "Senate Bill 3064," aiming to double the tax rate for online gambling and sports betting to 30 percent, starting January 1st after approval. Although this would be a significant hike, it still falls below tax rates in states like New York, which has a 51 percent tax on sports betting, making New Jersey's current rate comparatively lower.
