But anyway I hardly believe that affiliate programs can make good portals. Can anybody provide with the link to such sites?

Here's one. And its on the same root domain as the online casino itself. ;) Promoting that one would be shooting myself in the foot.

I'm of the opinion that they should work on the casino side, sinking money into games, players, lobbying for the industry, building children hospitals etc. :)

The casinos are going to have SEO teams. From a business perspective I guess it makes sense. Ethical? That's a can of worms, partially subjective, and depends on what they are doing with those teams. Driving affiliates out of business is not ethical when they swear we are partners.

It's not fair if you're trading links with us and we don't know you're a casino. Especially when we are promoting your bottom line, via banners and links , since that same link juice can be used against us.

If that's the case and I am made aware of it, I won't promote these casinos.

just my 2cents

if casinos have seo teams than the answer is that affiliates need to start making casinos :)

Lauferb - LOL, I agree. Believe me, I've thought about trying to convince RTG or Rival to allow me a white label. You'll hear the same shit from the casinos, "there is a lot more to it than you think." And of course there is a lot to it. But why the hell do they think they are so capable when they can't pay players, treat affiliates with respect and a lot of them were affiliates before operators. The fact is they don't want us in the pie.

no no no
I dont mean white label, this is the same shit.
I mean develop the whole casino, according to rules made by affiliates.
it's not so difficult to develop casino games, it's very simple actually, casino games are so simple games, slots, roulette, blackjack, etc...

basically since the profit in this industry is huge, and seems like 99% of it goes to the software providers & operators, and it's not enough for them so they are after affiliates' profits, than affiliates can do the same...

I developed one casino game b.t.w it's "smsfruitmachine.co.uk"
but it's not a good game, people did not like it,
well, I'm not a casino player, and don't know exactly how to develop a game that is attractive to casino players

I have often thought the same thing but you know what ... if I opened a casino I would never have an affiliate program ;)
