Yes that is a good thing now I have no doubts you are a rogue program and all you casinos are blacklisted.

Well they shaved all my players off of my account ,so 10% of 0 is still $0.. For all they did they could have put me at 100% and still paid me nothing..

Whats worse is they only paid me 1/2 of what they owed me for January, the last month my players were still on my account, another debt that will never be collected.

Karma comes back thou, sometimes these people who do things like this run into the wrong person at a conference or something.

Im sure they will have a booth at all the "gaming Conferences" soon, sucker in new affiliates

They've intiated a quote of min 5 FTD's over a 2 month period.
In which case if you don't meet this quota, your marked as inactive, and subsquently your commission is slashed to 10%.

It really saddens me when I hear this sort of crooked, yes criminal, actions perpetrated on the inocent. Especially as affiliates have as FAIK, a promised LIFE TIME REVENUE COMMISSION. Yet another program screwing affiliates by breaching their own T&C's.

With ALL the stuff going down with GVC Holdings, and other programs who have reneged on their promises, time has NOW come where we, as a group, can't roll over anymore. If we do not take a united stand on this B#llshit, then we're all (BIG or SMALL) are going to be shafted soon. We'll lose ALL our years of hard work to crooks who think they can steal from us.

Personally I'd rather die on my feet, than be a slave on my knees. What about you???!!!

I know that there has been significant upheaval at AE, and that the immediate impression is NOT good. It appears that some very sharp "industry consultants" have been brought in and they have attempted to make wholesale changes to boost bottom line numbers in the short term.

I am giving the AE program and managers a period of adjustment and attempting to get them to realise that long-term relationships are better than a short term boost - because given the changes that have been splashed about this will be a very short term boost as a tarnished program has very little longevity and zero resale value.

------------

I agree with the general feeling that this is not a good business move for the program or affiliates - and is inappropriate.

To my way of thinking there are two key points of contention :

1/ LEGALITY OF RETROSPECTIVE :
I'm not sure how a LIFETIME DEAL on players already referred can be converted to something with an INACTIVE clause - at least not legally.

I acknowledge that any company can change terms and conditions at any time - but it will only be valid for any player referred from that point.
The new T&C's cannot apply to previous periods - or to previously obtained players.

2/ INACTIVE DEFINIATION :
If you are really going to put a punitive percentage on 10% of inactive affiliates then a more accurate measure should be used.

Something like IMPRESSIONS or CLICKS (both of which are captured and reported by AffiliateEdge) will immediately show whether an affiliate is ACTIVE or not.
Whereas a measurement of FTD is heavily influenced by the programs website ability to actually transfer these clicks into depositing players.

SUMMARY :
To avoid becoming a "rogue program" AE need to ensure that any INACTIVE definition is for new players only, and it should reflect actual marketing effort (impressions or clicks) not conversion results.

-----------------------------

DISCLAIMER :
We are currently not ACTIVELY advertising AffiliateEdge casinos while we assess the impact of these recent changes and the intent of new management.
We are redoing our due diligence that we do with all new programs that we accept.

This will come down to four basic questions :
- Is the program offering "best-of-breed" solutions?
- Are they affiliate friendly?
- Are they paying players?
- Do I want to do business with this program?

Let's try to get this settled constructively.

I am against any minimum player clause with the affiliate programs. It is just one of many ways that affiliate programs try to take commissions away from dormant affiliates that aren't actively promoting the brands or pushing their brands hard enough. After the e-mail that they sent out to affiliates, I would have expected them to remove the NCO or do something to rebuild trust with the affiliates that continue to promote them.

This 10% minimum player clause will be the nail in the coffin.

Let's try to get this settled constructively.

You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink. While I agree with keeping lines of comms open, there should be a definitive time-line drawn in the sand. Otherwise, it will turn into another VS cat and mouse game.

I'm absolutely sure that they will improve themselves and listen to reason over time

See that's the problem...

These programs make harsh decisions which affect the livelihoods of affiliates. Hypothetically, if they decide to trash this 10% quota, will they reimburse affected affiliates who have been hammered by the 10% commission?

I'm pretty sure that wont happen!

Hence why I hold little to no faith in program T&C's these days. At the drop of a hat, affiliates are in a position where they can kiss goodbye to commissions which they rightfully deserve.

Didn't AffPower or the owners et al, hold ties with the owners of Affactive and RevenueJet? Who, were arrested in Israel for that Pump and Dump securities fraud. And, the WP hacker (we all grew to luv ) escaped to Russia before he could be nabbed.

Does anybody know if this new 10% commission deal only applies to new affiliates who are about to sign up or have just signed up this month?

I think not... :(
I only just noticed yesterday, after reading a post by The Gooner at GPWA, that in Jan my Lucky Red comm was only 10%, but strangely Club World & Manhattan Slots were correct at 30%.
In February ALL brands are at 10%

I wrote an e-mail to AE yesterday to ask if the terms change is retroactive - no reply yet (but it is still early).

Also I checked Way-Back-Machine, and the new 10% rule was NOT on their website on Feb-21st, and I have not been informed by e-mail of any changes, so to apply it to February (and especially to January) is sinking to a new depth of rogue-ness

@Webzcas It must feel pretty rotten in that pit hole, right next to the other lousy crooks.
Rumor says RTG has its own privately owned VIP section in that pit. You should not enter it again!

This is typical Affpower at work here. For anyone trying to see the positive, why have the likes of Martyn and Karolina resigned with no place of employment lined up?

Affiliate Edge are done.

I can't see nothing positive in such bad story (again). I've seen too many times such behavior in this industry. I'm getting more and more tired, year after year ...
