I was able to place the payment from the laptop with no problem.
I wouldn't call it user error and tell myself to back away slowly from the desktop (which was how we would joke at the old job) but I would definately say it's my desktop that has the problem, not the calendar.
Sorry for making it an issue before I tried everything!!
