As AussieDave mention, most plugins adds a bunch of code to header/footer thats there on every page, making it heavy in many ways.
As well as this, their support is nowhere near as good as it used to beOh, the other issue I forgot to mention about SiteGround.com, is there new billing system. As far as I can recall, before they made all these radical changes, billing, or more to the point, your Credit Card, was not stored, least not without gaining your permission, first.
The last hosting I had, I'd paid for 12 months. Given SG was below par, I had no intention of renewing, and was simply going to let the host expire.
Was checking my email account, and spotted an email from SG, which, informed me they attempted to debit my CC with another 12 months hosting. This time at full price, which was around $471.
Fortunately for me, I only use a debit Visa for online transactions. Hence, it's only loaded up with cash when I need to use it, online. Point is, if the cash was in there, SG would have taken it, without my permission.
SiteGround.com were never, ever, like this before.
Which tells me, maybe the founders of SG, are no longer the owners of SG.
That would definitely explain all the issues I encountered...
What about Google Cloud Hosting, why no one mentions it, anyone has experience?
What are the benefits behind using Kinsta vs BlueHost or GoDaddy?Once, you could add a few extra lines of code to your functions.php file, and that was that. Instant speed increase. However, these days, if your not WP/coding savvy, Kinsta seems to be the best option for WP hosting.
If support are there to help with issues, then giving them a go is a well deserved 1+.
GoDaddy?
Thanks so much for the quick reply and information. Kinsta would work but yes, it’s a bit steep at the start.. With a new site launching next month, I like the options with KnownHost. Would you recommend to start off on a shared, VPS or Dedi? I’m thinking the dedi is something down the road.. Appreciate you guys helping us new folks. CheersStrike that one off the list. As a domain registrar their a prime rip-off (always thinking up new schemes to sell to non-savvy clients). Their shared hosting is a joke. It's slow, and probably throttled to the max.
My advice, stick with a hosting provider who other trusted affiliates recommend.
IMHO it seems that Kinsta is awesome for non-techie WP affiliates. Though, it isn't cheap. If that price is a bit steep, give KnownHost a try: https://www.knownhost.com/wordpress-hosting.html
Been with KH since Feb 2016. Tried all flavours: shared, VPS and dedi server. Can't fault them.
I'm liking the 50% Pricing on KnownHost, but the limit of just a single domain is worrisome. Still, a good price, but what happens if traffic exceeds the 100K visits (not unique visitors mind you) but it almost sounded like "served pages" each month?
Must one upgrade to the next level of service or is that just a rough estimate of typical traffic?
That wasn't overly clear. Thanks!![]()

I realized my initial statement about Kinsta being too steep negated my query about VPS and Dedi..If Kinsta is a bit steep to start with, then so too is a VPS and Dedi.
My suggestion, go with shared hosting: https://www.knownhost.com/wordpress-hosting.html @ Business Level Package (use the 50% code) and it's only US $4.99 per/month.
Granted it's only 1 wordpress site per Managed hosting package... BUT compare to https://kinsta.com/plans/ your miles ahead already.
At this point I don't think members can really add much more feedback.
Probably best to start asking questions to the hosting companies direct. This way your getting all the correct information, and then you can make an educated decision on who is best suited to your hosting needs![]()
Guess I should once again ask for clarification ... Each of these hosts has NO ISSUE with an Online Gambling Affiliate Website and content relating to such including links, free-to-play demo versions of the games, etc., correct?

I like the cheap route, as I can always upgrade.
All excellent points..speed and reliability are king as I can see is the overarching theme.Kinsta does not have any issues with a casino affiliate web site. I made sure that their were no issues before moving things over.
You need to find a good host that is within your budget. Like you said, you can always upgrade or move elsewhere.. as your
sites gets bigger or start to bring in more traffic. Go with what you are comfortable with.. but make sure that they accept
casino affiliates and they actually deliver the speed and the up-time that you need to keep visitors rolling into your site.
Hey JoeyC!All excellent points..speed and reliability are king as I can see is the overarching theme.
Upgrade and change as you grow.
Confirm they will not have an issue with type of business model.
Thanks again for everyone’s input - great group here and support.
