[QUOTE="Kristine, So I think it is really important to engage new players with high hit frequency, low to medium variance and highly addictive games like Immortal Romance, Thunderstruck 2, Starburst, Gemix and Wizard of Gems. So we recently moved these games to top placements and gave them x2 reward points. I think this is overlooked by most operators.

Quite a few other things but the above are some recent adjustments we have made which I think are important.[/QUOTE]

Yeah lets make m all addicted ...

Most popular modern slot games are designed to keep players playing longer with many smaller wins. The number of wins helps to increase the brains serotonin levels which keeps the player in a happier mood, thus the player will spend more money over time and multiple return visits. So yes slot games are designed to be addictive.

Processed food is also designed to be addictive with the addition of excess sugar. Most super-markets place all these addictive snack items along the check-out line to take advantage of sugar addicts.

So there are drug pushers all over the place, including gambling affiliates. ;)

I don't know about other members but it really annoys me when, a thread is commenced, which is clearly addressed to other affiliates (only) and the next thing, we have Affiliate managers dropping in and posting, in what seems, an effort to push their brands.

Is there a dedicated section here @ AGD?

Where, affiliate members can discuss matters in private (between ourselves), without being bombarded with veiled program pushes???

I thought the information was great. It is a lot of information that we don't necessarily know - being affiliates. It shows what they saw in their player database and how they changed their techniques to increase conversions. To me - this speaks to how we might deal with this same traffic if we do some geo-location. I thought it was pretty awesome that she shared it tbh.

I recognized the plug(s) but I was not annoyed.

Annoyed, well more so frustrated, lets say that.
I get hammered day in day out by AM's via email, Skype, FaceBook & some times even PM's here... There are times when I just want to discuss topics @ AGD with my peers. I'm looking for feedback, opinions etc etc. Reiterating, I find it frustrating that threads, which are clearly posted by affiliates, sometimes get hijacked in part by AM's.

If the thread specifically request's AM input then, by all means, it's an open invitation.

Otherwise, lets tone it down a few notches and think before plugging a program et al... just sayin :)

I can create a forum if you want? If the post was not related... then I would have said something for sure. But, in this case, I thought the information fit the thread and was valuable.

Let me know if you want a specific affiliate-only forum. I can do that easy enough.

I think it's good to have affs private forum.

Btw, on this specific thread although Kristine presented info about her program, I found it interesting.
Also, I appreciate affiliate managers that actually know what's going on in their company. How the company works, what the retention works, how improving things etc.

I hear ya, but I know the source (AM's) so I know how much stock to put into it.

I agree with this. I think Kristine's post was very interesting, informative & helpful.
(Just for the record, I am not even working with them yet).

Those types of post are totally acceptable to me.
There are other programs on this forum who shamelessly plug without even getting involved in the topic of conversation - those are not so welcome. But if they are certified and not hijacking other threads to self-promote, I find that acceptable.

If memory serves me correctly, Casino Coins used to offer the $5 spinners, that's how I promoted them and it was one of the best earners for me back then. fwiw.

For the record, I find Kristine's input into AGD helpful too... But that wasn't my point...

I was merely stating my opinion and asking... Does AGD have a forum solely dedicated to its affiliate members, where AM's don't have access...

There are other programs on this forum who shamelessly plug without even getting involved in the topic of conversation

So as long as a program involves itself in on-topic-discuss, it's ok to plug away?

I feel her post was also informative and also I am thinking if this was in private ALL the programs we mentioned would not see affiliates are not happy.. I seen Lloyd came in the thread and addressed our concerns with his brand.
I feel for this thread it is important to be public so operators can see just how many affiliates are not happy.

One time I posted in (what I thought was) the Private > General Affiliate Area and an AM contacted me.

Was that not eye private or just private in the sense it was not indexed?

Hadn't thought of that - great point.

That section is non-indexed. It was not created to keep Affiliate Managers out.
