Brazil’s Ministry of Finance has released a list of 81 licensed operators for fixed-odds sports betting and online gaming, effective January 1, 2025. This includes 15 definitive licenses for brands like SuperBet and MGM, valid until 2029, and 66 provisional ones for companies such as bet365 and Betano, requiring compliance within 30 days. Operators faced delays in meeting certification deadlines, narrowing the field from 103 applicants. Licensed operators must adhere to strict regulations, while unlicensed ones face federal bans in 2025. Localized licensing remains an option for some regions. This move formalizes Brazil’s regulated betting market under strict oversight.

Looks like Betano may be struggling to get its license in Brazil. That would be huge as so many big affiliates relied on them

Surprised bet365 have not got a full license yet

Brazil is a very corrupt country, so as you can see from the 15 definitive licenses it's mainly local brands that seem to have "got their way" with the regulators! Taxes are also going to be very high. Can't see Brazil being the gold mine people think it will be. Too many taxes, too much corruption, too many rules from a government that does not even allow its citizens to use Twitter or VPNs
