Although I have known about this for some time I did not expect it to happen now and right before a major conference when many affiliates will be out of town! Not to mention to get this email on a Friday at the end of the day so we cannot have our many questions answered!!
<TABLE borderColor=#eeeeee cellSpacing=4 cellPadding=4 width="100%" border=1><TBODY><TR><TD>As of the 1st of June, 2010, play for US players on CasinoShare and Grand Mondial will be moved off the Microgaming platform and we will begin licensing software from a brand new software provider. The new software will have a similar look and feel, stability and most of the features you have become accustomed to, but with some notable changes. This change has been made in order to ensure that we are able to continue offering safety, service and exciting gaming to all our customers.

From a player perspective, the migration process will be completely seamless and won't be required to download new software or open a new account. They will utilize their existing accounts and their balances will be transferred.

One thing I do know is since this is a new software and not considered MG anymore we affiliates are now at the mercy of the affiliate programs and we have to hope they continue to pay us for all these existing players we have sent over the years and we have to hope that they migrate and map over all our players.

Now we all know with Playshare and other upstanding programs we have no worries about because they recognize the importance of their marketing partners but how many will choose to go the Grand Prive way ???

Surely that means the software MUST still be MG... ?

BINGO!
Same software, different company and cooperate setup for the US market... Would be my guess.

I guess only time will tell if they will map over players without 'losing' any.

I believe they will take the high road and map over players as best as they can. How this all goes is going to reflect directly on regulation in the US.

In other words, they don't want to screw this up and f**** people over, there are going to be a LOT of folks looking over their shoulder.

I definitely hope was get answers to the questions of how players will be mapped over. I am sure that each organization will have to work quickly to create their 'new' casino, map over players, and map over affiliate tie-ins.

This can't be simple unless the 'new company' made it simple :) I know that I will be talking to the AM's for the places where I have had the most players on the MGS platform.

I also wanted to put out a warning to Affiliate Programs. Affiliates will band together to make sure the following happens appropriately:

1. Affiliate Commissions remain the same for all US players given to the casinos. {No commission drop or additional fees unrelated to our original contracts should be implemented.} This would be a retroactive change.

2. All players should be tagged to the affiliate when any tagged player is moved to the new casino.

Any deviation from these items will surely result in your status change to 'Predatory' at AGD.

I believe that most affiliate programs will act honorably here, but we want to make sure that all programs understand what may happen if this is not the case.

Thanks!

So many questions and speculations..lol We have no idea how much this new software will cost the operators to run so maybe fees will increase who knows. I can say that all the MG operators that I work with are honest and upstanding with affiliates, I think we have no worries about them cheating us. After all none of them followed suit with GP when they pulled their stunt.

Hey guys, more info here:

Microgaming Chat

Chatted with a Casino Rewards casino. No new USA or existing players after June 1st. USA is getting the boot from mgs.

However, existing players will move to a new software.

However again, how do we promote this now?

Almost all of the MG brands will now have a new facing USA software it looks and feels like the MG software but has a few changes such as a totally different name & owners. I would guess that some of the changes will be no branded games such as Hitman, Hellboy etc (since these are all licensed and contracted with MG not the new software) We cannot market it since the name of the software is a tightly kept secret and trust me I have tried all my resources on finding that out and none really no what it is called other then 'software for sale'.

I think this is a good thing for us all! I am sure that new existing players will be taken in the new future depending on the changes that come about after June1st.

I'm calling it noname-o-gaming. LOL

I think it's a good thing too. Far better than telling our players they are out. At least I hope so. The games themselves are so far downgraded for usa already. Maybe they will bring in new life for players.

Do you know if this will accept new players from the rest of the world?

Maybe the wine, lack of sleep, too much sun but I am really struggling to understand these new developments. I went over the thread a few dozen times and the result is the same, this is good thing?

Good because soon there maybe a viable alternative for U.S players.

The bad part mapping over existing players, can it be done fairly? Also if other programs decide to follow suite all those locked player accounts should be reopened and tagged accordingly.

As you can see without shame I do not understand. And who the hell is micromojogaming lol?

Just confused

Update: I did receive the same email but do not have a affiliate account.

When we’re left out on an island by ourselves with no communication from those whom are supposed to be our "partners" it’s easy for speculation to take over and to run rampant through our minds. After all, for a good deal of us, this is our full time job.

In times of doubt like this it’s tough to not think about the families we all work to support, particularly in this economy. To think it could all be gone seemingly overnight is enough stress to send a guy into cardiac arrest.

That doubt arises largely in part from the lack of communication - that’s not really indicative of a true partnership. While we all want to be optimistic and/or at least pray that this will indeed work out for the best, it is tough being alone on that island.

Its not a very amusing joke that a few programs decided to send out notices before they leave office on Friday evening. Then again most programs have not said a word.

My heart it racing and my mind is wondering - what is next? I think I'm going to need more than a few stiff drinks.

From Commissionwarehouse - Players Palace Casino just came this e-mail

As of the 1st of June, 2010, all casinos operating on Microgaming software, will no longer accept gameplay from US players. This will include US players referred by you to Players Palace Casino through the Commission Warehouse affiliate program.

In order to give your referred US players an extended opportunity to continue playing, as well as to best honor our agreement with you to pay commission on players' lifetime revenues, a deal has been negotiated with a new software provider to launch a casino product specifically for players from the USA.

This new casino will be called "CasinoShare US" and launches on the 17th of May, 2010. It will offer players the same look and feel as the Players Palace Microgaming software they all know and love, as well as all of the features and most of the games they are currently playing at Players Palace. Essentially the branding will change to be more US-centric but the gaming experience, including the customer promotions will remain the same.

All your US players at Players Palace will be migrated to "CasinoShare US" on the 17th of May. From a player perspective, the migration process will be completely seamless and they won't be required to download new software or open a new account. They will utilize their existing accounts and login's and their balances will simply be transferred. We have planned to make this necessary transition as easy and simple for players as possible and will have extra shifts running 24/7 in the customer services teams to ensure that all customer queries are promptly and thoroughly dealt with.

As far as all things related to our relationship with you, our marketing partner, there are only some minor changes, none of which require any additional work by yourselves.

Your tracking, links, commission payments and reporting all remain the same. The only change will be the addition of "CasinoShare US" as a new casino within the Commission Warehouse reporting system, and active players that are migrated will display on your stats reports under this brand.

Please note that because of the mid-month migration, you may see duplicated account numbers in your player reports (for May 2010 only). This is because of the recorded activity on Players Palace prior to the migration and activity on "CasinoShare US" after the migration.

Please feel free to contact your Affiliate Manager should you have any questions in this regard.

Regards,

Marlo

One of my mods posted a screenshot of the lobby from the new CasinoShare US - I find it does not look only similar, it is the same look!
