Hey Daniel,

There is a problem either with our casino player information being sold (by AffActive) -OR- a breach in your database. My account at one of your casinos has a VERY SPECIFIC email address. That email address was just SPAMMED by an affiliate.

I'm NOT thrilled about this and want an answer. I will find out regardless of your help, so please be honest.

maybe they're the affiliate so they can pay themselves.

Luckily I DO know that is not the case ;) I would have had an entirely different post here if I had found that out. However - I do not know if the database was freely given, given at a price, or stolen.

Luckily I never worked with them.
I made some negotiation experiences last year with Rick an AM at affactive, very aggressive methods to ask for cooperation's.
He even found out my private mobile number and called endless times, very annoying.
I wouldn't be surprised if they steal players this way, the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree.

Hi,

Sorry, been away for few days.

We for sure don't sell our data and from what i know it is safe.

I understand that you can't share any details at this point, but after you finish your check please let me know and we will go over the case. At this point this is the best i can offer.

Ocportal: I have to say that not sure how this is related. You do have an account with us and we do try to contact people that signed up and hopefully to start working together.

I fully understand that how you want to be contacted, frequency, etc is very personal and I apologies if it was
"too much".

Best regards,
Daniel

I am also receiving SPAM from an affactive aff that contains my legal name.

The ONLY way to get the info on my legal name, was to gain access to affactives records on me.

The ONLY time I use my legal name is when I am Banking at a certain Bank... The Bank that I only used with affactive.

There is no doubt at all that affactives data base that contains info on affiliates is out there and being used by a affiliate for affactive.

I have actually closed that particular bank account because of this security breach.

I have NO DOUBT that the information was leaked from affactive.

My only question is if they sold the info or if it was stolen... After my experience with them. I personally lean toward them selling our data.

Hi Lots0,

Don't fully understand: why would we sell the list of our affiliates? Besides that, i assume since you are a long time affiliate, that we are not the only ones that sent you wires.

I will of course check this out, but if you can PM me with some details- it would help.

Best regards,
Daniel

Rather obvious... for Money...

As I wrote, I only used this specific bank account with your affiliate program.
So the only possible explanation is that the data came from YOUR company.

Daniel, I sent you a email about this very thing some time ago, along with a copy of one of the spam emails. You never responded to it.
I see no need to PM you anything. My information is already out there and being used... Your not going to be able to change that fact.

I actually though it was only me that had their personal account information in the hands of a spammer till I saw Andy's post.

Next time I get one of these spams, I will be happy to forward it to you again

We do not sell aff lists. First, these are our partners and we do try keep it that way (and i think you will agree that we did try to do everything we could think of to keep our partnership working).

Have no idea how much people pay for lists of affs but don't think it will cover a day of these same affiliates...

I don't know if you sold the info, gave it away or it was stolen.
All I know for a fact, is that the info is out there and it could ONLY have come from your company.

I said I was 'leaning toward' you selling the info. That is my personal opinion.

You did go above and beyond to try to keep me as an affiliate... But I made the decision not to work with you any more and you know why.
However, our past history has nothing to do with the current situation.

.

Since it might sound in different ways: Yes, unfortunately we couldn't make this partnership profitable for you. Still can't say why, but that at happens.

I've checked the email that you have forwarded me long time ago and don't see there any specific info that is related to your bank account, but the contact mail on your site. If you can forward me an email that you are referring to, it will be greatly appreciated.

It's the name Daniel... the name on my bank account.. not the same name that I use everyday. The ONLY place that name could have come from is YOUR affiliate program personal records.

Since you choose to bring it up... the reason I couldn't make money with you was because you kept returning punters deposits for reasons I could not understand or that made sense...

One 4k deposit returned because the punter asked for comps... still don't understand that one and feel like you still owe me for that. I delivered the punter and deposit, my end of the deal... then for some bogus reason you return the deposit of 4K... a very strange way to do business indeed.

Hi Lots0,

Yes, i understand your point of view, but I have replayed why the funds of the player were refunded. I assume we can disagree on that.

In any case, when you can, please forward me the mail with your official name so i could take a look.

Best regards,
Daniel

I still have the email where you stated you returned the 4k simply because the punter asked for some comps (I was thinking about printing and framing your email and then sending a copy of it to "Ripley's Believe it or Not").

I brought the money in and then you made it disappear... simple as that. Can't do business with someone that makes Whales disappear now can I?

You already have one email, what is another one going to tell you that the one you already have has not?
You have the aff ID of who sent it to me and my legal name, all on the spam I already forwarded to you... what more do you need?

The very next time I get another one of these spams, I'll forward it to you.
But I just have this strange feeling that I won't see another one of those spams after this thread...

I checked the mail you forwarded to me few months back, but it doesn't have any name on it. That's why i asked if you can forward me one with the name.

"we do try to contact people that signed up" , I wrote aggressive and that's what I mean, your company called endless times after I clearly stated that I am not interested, this was mainly done from Rick, anyhow I also received emails from other AM from your company in very short periods, all together very AGGRESSIVE.

Daniel,
The email has the info on it... or else I would not have sent it to you in the first place, along with a pissed off email.
And I'll be willing to bet your telling or have already told the spammer to remove some email addresses from his list, so I won't get another one. ;)

I see your about as eager to track this "security breach" of yours down as I am to go back and promote you guys... In other words.. Your not interested at all in fixing this or even checking it out.

You now have more than one person that has received SPAM from you or one of your affs that contain information that was trusted in confidence to you.. and now your just playing with us.

You never explained to Andy why he received spam to his unique email address assigned to you.

You are just blowing off the fact that private and personal information of mine that was trusted to you, has been released/sold/traded/lost or just given away by your company.

I think every affiliate should know as soon as they sign up with you, their personal and private information (including BANKING information) that they trusted to your company will be 'used' to spam them and who knows what else...

Daniel, for an outfit like yours I almost feel like bringing back my blacklist.

IMO, this move toward rogue side of things seems to have happened when the old affactive management left and new management took over.

I have no intention to fight here.

I've forwarded you that email that you sent me few months back. I don't see any private details there. That's why i asked to show me the email with the private info that you are referring to.

I wrote Andy that i can't assist him since we do not sell our info and as far as i know, it wasn't breached. The moment he finishes his check and can give some details- I'll be here to check it out on our end.

Affactive management haven't changed since Affactive was founded.

Best regards,
Danie
