What Is Cloaking?
Cloaking is a technique that splits traffic into two streams:- White page: Safe content shown to moderators and bots.
- Black page: The target offer shown to real users.
Why Use Cloaking?
- Bypassing moderation. Moderators see the white page, while users land on the black page.
- Protecting your campaigns. Cloaking hides your strategies from competitors.
- Better personalization. You can adapt content to specific regions, devices, or user behaviors.
How Does It Work?
The system analyzes user data (IP, geo, User-Agent) and redirects traffic accordingly:- Moderators are shown the white page.
- Real users are sent to the black page.
Main Cloaking Methods:
- Redirects: Simple and effective but need regular updates.
- JS scripts: Allow dynamic content changes but require programming skills.
- IP filtering: Accurate targeting but limited by the IP database.
- Iframe cloaking: Hides offers within safe content but can be tricky to set up.
- Local cloaking: Reduces suspicion but requires complex server management.
How to Set It Up:
- Choose a TDS, like Keitaro.
- Set filters (IP, geo, User-Agent).
- Create a white page and a black page.
- Test the system thoroughly.
- Regularly update filters to stay ahead of detection algorithms.
