Thanks, Simon! Coming here and explaining the situation was a very good thing and shows that you have integrity.

I've always respected iNetbet, and I am relieved to see there was a decent explanation for the forum spam. :)

Thank you all for your understanding. As an SEO who has been involved in gambling sites for the last 4 years (I worked for Intertops before that for 4 years) I know how important it is to make sure that everything I do is 'white hat'

I would like to ask that if you see any form of Spam regarding Inetbet (anything after 11th march 2009) to please inform me anytime. I am committed to providing them with the best SEO services that I can and do not think for a minute that there will be a repeat of this in any way shape or form, but if there is please let me know so that I can deal with it.
Thank you again for your patience and understanding
Simon

My name is Simon Skinner and I provide SEO services to iNetBet Online Casino

Someone contacted inetbet because of forum spam purporting to be from them, or certainly representing them.

Inetbet asked me to take a look at this and it was one of my (new) suppliers who were spamming your forum.
This company promised high quality forum posts (and other methods of link building) and they were recommended to me by a reputable SEO.

The company in question did not live up the their promises of a high level of service. In fact they did completely the opposite and have caused nothing but trouble with blatant spamming of forums with one line comments and obvious anchor text.

As soon as I found our about their linking ‘techniques’ I sacked them immediately and cancelled all business with them (after 3 days).

The fault was mine and not that of Inetbet. I would like to sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused to you. I can assure you that there will be no repeat of this.

If anyone wants to know the name of the company or any more information I can be reached on simon@webpositionexpert.com

As I say this company seemed to be legitimate in their promises and level of service. I made the mistake of using them but would certainly not do so again.

Once again I apologise to anyone whose forums were affected by this.

Thank you
Simon Skinner

Well, I think iNetBet rocks!

Although I think it's time for iNetBet to SACK SIMON. Talk about inexperience. Or maybe Simon will come post that it wasn't him, but someone he hired who impersonated him and he's sacked that guy too. LOL

iNetBet, you're way above this guy... Simon's just making you guys look bad now.

I like Inetbet as well and have had them on our forum for years but there is a few things that bug me the fact that they never seem to care about meeting me when I attend several conventions a year and the fact they treat my biz partner like shit when she mails them and lastly no updates ever on new games, no banner updates etc. Sorry for the derail but I want to say in these hard times I hate to see anyone be sacked, maybe a few days off without pay and a new hard core training session would work.

I don't like seeing anyone get sacked either. My post was a bit sarcastic because of Simon's previous post saying he sacked his guy. I don't truely wish for anyone to be without an income.

I don't think Simon's intentions were bad, but lack of experience with forums might be the problem.

By the way, iNetBet did respond to this issue at Casinomeisters here.

Spamming forums? 2nd noticed? apologized once? Wasted affiliates/moderators time on multiple forums? I like giving people second chances. But to me, 2 strikes is plenty when it comes to forum spamming under the disguise of "ignorant SEO" how can you be ignorant after you just learned your lesson and apologized? more like take us for a ride....

Time to get rid of this SEO company if you can call it that. Why be soft here? these guys are ruining it and wasting our time. Maybe I woke up feisty but this company has to learn its lesson sometime. 8)

Had the same on my forum
and know what, I dont allow new members to post URLs if they do not have a min. of 5 posts, and that guy just posted and posted til he was able to add an aff tag in his 6th post.
Well I banned the IP
The IP is also already to find at stop forum spam
Things like this do not indicate "inexperienced with forums" ... clearly they know exactly what they are doing. They are a web position marketing firm? They were hired by a reputable casino? clearly they are not beginners.

I'm really starting to grow fond of the smirking smiley ....

Haha good find. I thought it a poorly written article littered with ridiculous statements .. "Of course, you will not get rich at once but with time and patience, you will get there" ..

Do a search on goarticles for "online casino inetbet" and check out all the spammy articles listed by our mate Simon.

Of course he probably doesn't care because he didn't expect a human to read any of it.

Yea, I agree with you on that point Vladi, I should have said in the sense of feed scripts being read by bots..;)
