Jackpot Contributions - What is normal, and what is not?

Hi All

I am new on AGD, but not at the industry

I have a question - how big is usually the Jackpot Contributions in aff programs you cooperate with? Ex. I have one player who is regulary depositing hundreds, even thousands of EUR every month. But revenue he makes is always in red numbers, even if he did not make any withdrawal! I had a meeting with aff manager at BAC to explain me what is going on and I´ve been told, that the player is playing just the slots with Jackpot and makes many spins, that´s why he makes €3000 deposits, loose €3000, and provision is €-800 I asked my other partners, and they told me, that this is just silly, every contribution is included in handling fees (5-7,5% from deposits).

Has anyone else such problems?

It can happen. I looked over our jackpot contribution spreadsheet from December and Mega Moolah had a negative Net Win which was the result of the jackpot contribution. Out of all our jackpot games this was the only one to have a negative Net Win in December.

Jackpot contribution is usually 5% to 9% of gross wagers so if a player deposits 3k and plays a progressive which contributes 9% and goes on a decent run and wagers 42.22k before busting then that would generate a jackpot contribution of 3.8k (42.22k x 9%). For a gross loss of .8k (3k -3.8k).

Per the screenshot you provided at GPWA, it seems the only thing that is out of the ordinary is that you are paid 16.2% of GGR or 4.7% of GGR - jackpot contributions. If I had you on a 20% of GGR deal at WagerJoint you would have earned 596.6 euro from this same player.

So you are saying, that NetEnt Mega Moolah has 5-9% contribution deducted from revenue? So it means, that if some player deposits Ex. €100, makes €2000 turnover (on 5% slot) the revenue is 0, even if he lost everything?

That looks EXACTLY what they are saying.

Never thought about it before - but I does sound right - though the % sounds much higher than I would have expected.
For EVERY SPIN played, a small amount of money goes into the Jackpot Pool with the software provider and NOT into the casino's "bank".
So if the player turns the money over enough times while losing it all, the casino not making any money either!

I got it, KK.. It is just happening everytime the player plays, that´s why I was surprised, that contributions are so high..
