We received the following email:
"Mate Affiliates Shifts to ReferOn!
Dear Partner,
At Mate Affiliates we would like to announce our upcoming migration to ReferOn. The migration will take place effectively on the 3rd of June. Rest assured, all your data is safe.
Starting June 3rd, data will no longer be sent to NetRefer. However, you still have access to NetRefer to review stats for another 3 months after migration.
Please note that the duration of this period is subject to change, so we advise you to gather any necessary data within the first month.
Please make sure you download all the necessary information from your account until that time.
The Referon tool comes with a number of enhancements and changes:
Company Grouping
ReferOn allows multiple affiliate accounts to be grouped together for ease of access of reporting and management. A single affiliate has been taken as the ‘master’ account and can be used to see all statistics of all current accounts created in the previous affiliate software NetRefer.
Usernames for other accounts can still be accessed and will only show data for that affiliate account. If you have multiple accounts, a dummy new master account will be created for you. Please contact your affiliate manager for information.
Reporting
There is a single report found within the ReferOn system. From here, you can use various groupings and breakdown to find all your data needs, from GEO + Brand by Day or Marketing Source Costs by Day, etc. APIs can also be created for any report design.
Dashboards
New, more aesthetically pleasing dashboards with consistent toggles through the system makes it much easier for users to more readily see statistics by various metrics over varied date ranges.
Media Tracking
Managing your media links is now much smoother. Choose the URL from the list of available campaigns and create your link. With this link, you can set a Traffic type or marketing source and it can even have its own individual plan. This allows you even further flexibility in reporting and rewarding needs.
The structure of media links has also changed to:
&mid=AFFID_MEDIA-ITEM-ID
from
&btag=AFFID_ALPHANUMERICID, thus making it much easier to understand and to check the right tracker is being used.
IMPORTANT! None of your traffic will be lost and has been migrated, as tracking will be running in parallel. However, please ensure you extract your new links from ReferOn within 1 month. Should you need further assistance on this, please reach out to your affiliate manager.
What do I do now?
To make it a successful and hopefully stress-free migration for both your affiliate manager and yourself, please ensure you do the following steps as soon as possible:
Check-in regards to your master account. If unable to log in, please speak to your affiliate manager.
If, or when it is corrected, go to: https://ro-affiliate.mateaffiliates.com/login, and click ‘Reset your password’ and follow the steps, clicking the link that is sent to your email in (1). If you do not receive the reset email, the affiliate manager can check your email and also generate a new password for you as well if you need it.
Log in and go to Media - Campaigns and for each campaign you want to promote, click ‘Create Media Item’ to the top right. Fill in the fields and once created, extract the tracker via the ‘Copy’ icon to the right. Repeat for each campaign you wish to promote.
Optional - Create multiple media items for campaigns if you want to split by traffic types or by your affiliates under your account.
Your payment details are only found on the master account and are classified as "Other" due to the migration. Please review and add the correct payment details as its correct type, for example, "Bank Transfer" or "Bitcoin". This can be done via Settings – Payment Method.
Notes:
