Mojo - GR88 + retroactive

Just received the following email;

GR88.com Affiliate Program Changes

Dear Affiliate,

Please take note that GR88.com is no longer represented by Mojo Affiliates. However, as part of our ongoing development of the GR88 affiliate business and in order to comply with new Network Affiliate Rules, we have made the following changes as of June 1st, 2015 to all Affiliate commission payouts.

The following is retroactive to all previously registered and newly registered players to the GR88.com site.

Net Revenue Generated Commission
$0 - $500 5% Commission
$501 - $1000 7.5% Commission
$1001 - $1500 10% Commission
$1501 - $2500 12.5% Commission
$2501 - $3000 15% Commission
$3001 - $3500 17.5% Commission
$3501 - $4000 20% Commission
$4001 - $4500 22.5% Commission
$4501 - $5000 25% Commission
$5001 - $5500 27.5% Commission
$5501 and above 30% Commission

There's a lot of other stuff that I think is giving a very negative vibe with this brand.

Rak K has left - despite being the face on all their posters for years. Everyone who's been to a conference in the last few years knows his face.

Bulldog777 - one of their brands shut up shop without paying players.

I've got a complaint in process atm that I'll publish in a few days. If left as it is, it basically constitutes player entrapment.

That commission scale is probably the worst I have EVER seen - and I've seen some weird shit before.

Oh well - less work for me to do once I have removed these idiot's brands from my sites!

If you have pages dedicated to these brands, I think most affiliates would be better served by changing these pages to negative reviews rather than removing them. As with all these things, it sends a more powerful message if the rankings get flooded with negative reviews.....

5% does suck.

I hope the software internally is using 2 decimal places or rounding to the nearest dollar because that's not how you do it (if going by that chart alone) when its based on dollar amount.

It should be $500.01 to $1000 and $1000.01 to $1500 and so on.

If they're using those dollar value ranges in the software to calculate the commission % then the software may not execute the code if NGR falls in between a range, for example if NGR was $500.47, and software code calculates using $501 instead of $500.01 it would not execute.

The result could be undesirable consequences, like returning zero for commission earned.

BTW, you need to change "Have Retroactively Changed T&C's?" from No to YES!

Anytime I see (a) escalating entrance fees (b) superstar references and (c) super high sub-affiliate fees I cant stop thinking about Egyptology...

We're B2B not B2C. It's like me charging clients (businesses) a min $20 fee per/year, even if I don't do any work for them. Reads too much like Amway (errr pyramid scheme) to me. Bye Bye Mojo Affiliates gurgle...gurgle...gurgle down-the-drain.
