Norsk Tipping Introduces Stricter Loss Limits for Young Gamblers

Norsk Tipping will implement stricter loss limits for players aged 20 to 24 starting February 1, 2025, to reduce gambling-related risks. Players aged 20 to 21 will face a NOK 3,000 monthly cap, while those aged 22 to 24 are limited to NOK 5,000. This follows a 2023 decision to set a NOK 2,000 limit for players aged 18 to 20. Research highlights young adults as particularly vulnerable to gambling problems, with financial challenges increasing risks. Head of Responsible Gaming Bjørn Helge Hoffmann emphasized the importance of these limits in preventing harm and promoting safer gambling environments in Norway.
