Today we audited Omni Slots Affiliates, they only have the one casino at present with the same name.

We have a 45% revenue share deal with them.

We deposited $20 AUD and took the 100% welcome bonus.

We played slots until we lost is all.

Looking at the affiliate program our $20 AUD deposit was converted to €12.99.

Our 45% earning was €4.20 of the net gaming revenue for €9.34.

This gives us an Effective Net Gaming Revenue (the amount of money deposit and lost) of 9.34/12.99 = 71.90%.

To see what your real revenue share is, multiply your advertised revenue share rate by the Effective Net Gaming Revenue (71.90%) eg.

• 30% = 21.57%
• 35% = 25.16%
• 40% = 28.76%
• 45% = 32.35%

T&c says:

Net revenue = Gross revenue (wagering) – winnings – 20% cost (licensing and payment provider fee) – possible chargeback – possible taxes.

Hence, their calculation is different from their own t&c. 20% of € 12,99 is € 2,60. They're charging 28,1% instead of 20%. When I signed up that was actually 15%. Somehow they sneaked in a 20% fee instead of a 15% fee.

I understand 15% is too low, but this is not the way.

That is a very good point. If their terms say 20% why are they charging almost 30?

Actually, you'd be surprised how many gambling entities still taking AU players, are ironically paying consumption tax. In AU that tax is 10%, NZ is 15%. Two possibilities here:

• AU Government is still accepting tax from a banned market.
• Or... These entities are fudging the AU/NZ tax, and pocketing it themselves.

I don't think GST is paid on turnover? I guess it is remotely possible that their intermediary payment processor might be charging GST on a credit card deposit (if that was used), but that would be a one time 10% charge which would of course be only $2 in this case. It still does not add up.

I didn't think of that, but (in this case in theory) it could be an option. I know in Germany, where it's illegal too, casinos are paying consumption tax. Same thing in Austria. Paying it means that basically they won't face any enforcement or are not among the first who will be facing it.

I think in this case Omni Slots Affiliates has an alternative calculation with bonus costs and/or transaction costs. It doesn't match with the t&c in that case.

Leave alone that they've sneaked in a higher admin fee (15 -> 20%) without noticing and I suppose retro-actively.
