As far as not knowing exactly what makes a site rank muffincrumbs is correct. I do a very large collection of things and while I have several high ranking sites, I could not tell you what it really takes.. We can give great hints, but if we could pinpoint what really ranks a site and eliminate the rest, we would have many more high ranking sites.
What I can tell you is Hard Work does pay off.. If you refuse to fail, you won't.
