I don't think Ari2013 was specifically pointing to Buffalo, 888, winner et al and its affiliate managers being unaware of the hacker issue. I believe this was just a generalised statement encapsulating most AM's. As far as the aformentioned casinos/programs they are well and truly aware of the status quo.

Exactly

Involved probably not the right word, I'd be more inclinded to use associated to/with. Though I doubt we'll ever know 100% for sure. Then again... With all the data etc seized in the raids, who knows what information will turn up ;)

Hmmm... I would like to know, because I do blacklist and stop working with everybody involved. Revenue Jet, AffActive & co were already blacklisted. Now I doubt on Betway. The Betway brand wasn't on the hacked websites, but it smells somehow as they're the owner of Win Technologies. Be 95% sure is good enough for me although :)

WinTechnologies.net had more than a few fingers pointed at it when hackings took place in 2012/13. As soon as that information became too hot those glorified doorway portals disapeared quickly. At the time Win Technologies was owned by Spin Palace Group whos aff program was Wagershare - yet another program (within the Moshal Portfolio) that turned dodgy and untrustworthy. As most know, Referback was taken over by WS to form Buffalo Partners.

And which affiliate program casinos featured highly on the hacked doorway pages? Buffalo Partner Casinos.

Now that Win Technologies is part of the Betway Group, well... That too is just another slide of hand/change of name BUT still owned by the same entity/strawmen ;)

Who knows by the time the dust settles on ALL of this maybe we'll hear the offices WinTechnologies, Buffalo Partners and maybe even MGS/eCOGRA have been raided too. Keep in mind the Moshal's own the controling interest in Microgaming!

EDIT:
We all know these hackers have in some form or other been assoicated with Buffalo. Could this mean that Affactive and RevenueJet is also part of the Moshal portfolio? I've been told from difference sources that some MGS casino operators also owned USA facing casinos.

Will certainly be an interesting few weeks and months ahead ;)

Thanks... And Betway was a split up from that whole thing... just to have a dodgy department and a windowdressed clean department (Betway)...

And also Fortune is part of that portfolio I guess... i didn't have them blacklisted yet. I had all blacklisted, except Betway (incl Hippodrome) and Fortune Lounge.

Fortune (aka Digimedia)... yep they're part of the M portfolio too.
They were being less than cooperative in kicking the hacker BUT eventually they cut them loose. Though by that stage they'd made a decent wack of cash from this criminal operation.

Buffalo is clear enough for me. They do appear on all the hacked websites since a long time and they made some untrusty statements about taking action. They're in. Obvious.

This hackers are not some kids promoting shit and looking after a month if they're getting paid or not... Concerning the toppositions of Ruby Fortune / Spin Palace etc they must have been very sure they would get their money.

And yep, some interesting time to go and I guess more casino's / aff. programs will be in troubles. :) In the end, this is very good news for the business.

The hacker did create an account with Affiliate Edge, we shut down his account within 24 hours and sent his tracking links to dead space. We don't want anything to do with stolen traffic.

With the strong line we took, I doubt it will happen again but, if anyone does see any of our links on a hacked website then please send all evidence to Managers@affiliateedge.com and we will get it sorted.
How did you know he is hacker? How did you know the traffic is stolen?

Hi Xilenciso,

Our affiliate links were appearing on sites that were quite obviously hacked, for example government or school site that have nothing to do with gaming.

We traced them back to an affiliate account and questioned the traffic, we received no response so the account was suspended then blocked completely. We contacted the affiliate giving them plenty of chance to explain their side of the story. They have not been in contact since, now if I was a legitimate web-master and someone closed my account I would be in touch immediately seeking answers.

Is there something that makes you think they wasn't a hacker?

Best Regards
Stephen
