Hello everyone,

Over the last 14 years, I have been heavily involved in the online gambling sector, acquiring knowledge and expertise, producing blog posts, general articles, promotional and marketing content, landing pages, reviews, how-to-play guides, press releases and all manner of copies.

Last year, AI changed my world last year, and I pleaded for work anywhere I could ever imagine. However, the response was unclear until one of my previous clients approached me for assistance in AI content, and thankfully, he was paying well. Despite the hard work involved in researching and generating prompts, the challenge occurred to get the unique content. AI produces similar language, and if you are making a big website that requires the same kind of content, it becomes difficult to make it unique. We worked for three months like this, and he had to abandon the project.

Following a prolonged quest, I struggled to get some work, but that was not sufficient money-wise for me as it was my full-time job. At this time, I launched an iGaming website gamesbelt.com, but I was uncertain how to proceed.

Recently, One of my clients' managers suggested that I focus on creating content about the latest news in the gaming world to attract traffic, which I can then monetize. However, I am still grappling with the challenge of getting traffic.

I seek guidance in this forum to explore ideas on leveraging my expertise to generate income.

News website in any niche would require updates every hour most likely to be even relevant. As a one man show I'd focus on evergreen content that would be relevant even in 5 years without much updating if any at all.

If I had to guess, news sites are like the livescore sites of the casino world and depend on tenancy deals. Can't imagine they have good conversions at all, but if anyone has such site and has the numbers, feel free to chime in.

So traffic, everyone wants traffic and looks for traffic. And everyone wants it to be highly target, cheap or free if possible. Never seen anything of that sort that actually works, but again if anyone here has it and they r willing to share it with you, sure.

The thing is, why did you wait 14 years to decide to make a website. There's more to being a webmaster than writing content and 14y ago the entry level was much much more friendly. AI Garbage on p1 still makes money, so ignore he "best content that one has ever read and seen" suggestions.

I wont sugarcoat it, the formula is getting top p1 rankings on keywords that will drive targeted casino traffic. But to get there you'd need money, experience, patience, motivation, manpower. And to be honest, anything that gets postponed for a decade or more is obviously not anything you are passionate (i know it sounds cheesy), or has your undivided attention.

Just my 2 cents, don't wanna kill your enthusiasm if there's any. Hope you take these suggestions into consideration, so you have somewhat more of a realistic perspective and expectations. At the end of the day it's all about you and your abilities, so don't let me or anyone else tell you what's possible and what's not.

Thanks, Xecutable; you raised valid points, and I must clarify them. I've pondered this multiple times, but juggling my responsibilities as a full-time writer and a mother has made finding the time challenging. In the interim, two of my clients formed partnerships with me, and we collaborated for a few months. However, my destiny took a turn: one client exited the industry, selling the website, while the other vanished. I was devoted to my writing projects; I never anticipated a day when genuine writers might not hold worth.

Nevertheless, I am struggling and waiting to see when circumstances shift in my favour.
Currently, I'm striving for consistency with my website and seeking guidance. Many members of this forum are familiar with me, and I hope they can comprehend my situation.

Just took a quick look at your website. Will skip the tech & other stuff here. Before everything, your route should be different, considering your resources as one man show.

Your website’s primary focus/your website context source idea is extremely wide & general. Covering news on the whole iGaming sector? - You would have to cover thousands of topics/sub-topics to possible gain some authority and as @xecutable mentioned produce it hourly.

Don’t go that way.

Even if you take “news” site as an example, go with micro-micro-micro niche in iGaming.

I would ask myself a question:

  • What I am most experienced/expert in/ excited, and knowledgeable in writing? Could be, online slots? Go deeper, which types of online slots? Megaways? Specifically for which market, perhaps? And/or for which types of online casinos – crypto/fiats/both?

  • Combine the previous, with research on query demand/user intention/customer journey or path. How will you monetize it, in the end?

For example, in this context,

Primary focus: [x type of] online slot for [y market] specifically for [z type of casino]

Concentrate on that micro-micro-micro niche, try to cover all aspects of it with expertise/added value, with the main topic and supporting sub-topics and supplementary articles.

My impression is the site's content is too spread out in topic/niche. And, with that, your competing with many other sites, who have been around for ages, which will ultimately outrank you.

Choose a niche which you are very knowledgeable on. Then write about it but do it with style and expertise. Anyone can throw up an ordinary 'cookie cutter' casino/slots review. However, to capture interest, you need to be able to dig deeper into that topic/subject, while still making it an enjoyable and helpful read.

From the outset being a igaming affiliate may seem 1,2,3 simple BUT it's not. For every 100 people who start, 1 to 2% remain after 12 months, the rest throw in the towel.

Most it seem, go the 1 size fits all path, and punch out a 'cookie cutter' Wordpress site. 100,000+ WP site all looking similar, with similar content, and bragging 'Best bonuses for 2024' isn't going to cut the gravy!

Hence they fail, and fail they do in droves.

Before commencing any project, one needs a clear understanding of what they hope to achieve. What their goals are, and how they can do better, a lot better than their competitors.

When you have all that down pat, with a clear vision of your destination, then you fill up your car and drive. But you don't even get in the car before you have your road-map ;)

Since the last HCU update creating unique content gets you punished, the results are flooded with low quality ai listicles but I do expect it to change so maybe you should wait and see what happens on the next update, I personally think google made a mistake by favoring AI and Im hoping the next update will clean up and if so you will probably have more work than you ever dreamed of. though it could be wishful thinking on my part.

I completely agree with you. With that in mind, I'm currently focusing on two main things: updating the latest upcoming slots and working on football updates. As time goes on, I'll expand my reach even further.

Thanks for your guidance.

Current, (March 2024 Core Update) is just rolling out, and will be targeting low value AI content produced on massive scale. We will see the results in the days to come, but this one will be a big one.

gamesbelt.com - content is fine and I see on-page SEO is there. The only one part that is missing is off-page - so links

It sounds like you've had quite a journey through the evolving landscape of content creation and AI. Your extensive experience in the online gambling sector is impressive, and it’s clear you’re dedicated to adapting and finding new avenues for success.

Here are a few strategies you might consider to leverage your expertise and generate income:

  1. Focus on Niche Expertise: Given your background, you might be able to carve out a niche within the gaming news sector. Instead of covering broad topics, dive deep into specific areas of interest within the iGaming world, such as emerging technologies, regulatory changes, or expert reviews. Your unique insights and detailed knowledge can set you apart from more general news sources.
  2. Build a Strong Content Strategy: Develop a content calendar that includes a mix of news articles, in-depth guides, and opinion pieces. Regular, high-quality content can help build a loyal audience. Consider incorporating multimedia elements like videos or infographics to engage visitors more effectively.

  3. SEO and Keyword Optimization: To attract more traffic, focus on SEO strategies. Research relevant keywords and optimize your content to improve your search engine rankings. Tools like Google Analytics and SEMrush can help identify which topics and keywords are driving traffic to similar sites.

  4. Engage with the Community: Connect with your audience through social media, forums, and industry events. Engaging with the gaming community can help drive traffic to your site and build your reputation as a knowledgeable source.

  5. Monetization Strategies: Explore various monetization options, such as affiliate marketing, sponsored content, or premium membership models. Affiliate marketing can be particularly effective in the iGaming sector, where users are often looking for recommendations and reviews.

  6. Collaborations and Partnerships: Partner with other experts or influencers in the industry. Guest posts, joint webinars, or collaborative content can help expand your reach and attract new visitors to your site.

  7. Analytics and Adaptation: Regularly review your site’s analytics to understand what content is resonating with your audience and where traffic is coming from. Use this data to refine your strategy and focus on the areas that are driving the most engagement.
Your dedication and expertise are valuable assets, and with the right approach, you can turn your challenges into opportunities for growth and success. Best of luck with your website and content creation efforts!
