A BIG BIG LOOOOOL. You bought into the whole DMCA protection websites that charge you for a LOGO and acting on your behalf. By law any copyright material is already protected by Digital Millennium Copyright Act. Plus Google's DMCA form is enough for anyone to claim their rights.

After all a human reviews those and acts. There's NO them. DMCA.com is just a private company that sells badges to "protect" your website (HA). And for the small fee of 199$ they will fill in the DMCA notices for you (plus the 10$/month fee).

It was 100 for the year. There provide a DIY takedown, which is included. Google emailed me back saying that it is unclear whos content it is. I figured that is the best option.

I was actually replying to the guy above. Did you write your content or did you have it written for you? One way to prove to them is write another piece and SS everything: the date, the time, maybe even submit it in Fetch as Google. Then let the scraper do what he does and let them see that your stuff appears 1st.

P.S Or insert a text somewhere in the middle like *This is for Google to prove my site xxxxxxxx.com is the original* If it's a pure scraper without human interaction that baby is going on his site as well.

Or you can insert hidden text and only through css inspection to be seen. I mean these are just some of the ways you can go about it to prove you are the source. Im sure there's a lot more.

Once you prove that, you wont have to worry about it anymore in terms of adding easter eggs to your posts.

Regards

thank you for the suggestions. I wrote some and have had other people write them. I scan them using grammarly premium, which does a good job at finding plag content. I usually put in something like " <meta http-equiv=”last-modified” content=”2018-07-15@02:34:45 EST” />" when I edit a page. I am going to give your suggustions a try.

Ask Deckmedia to close their affiliate account if its not the same as yours or transfer the earnings to you
They probably won't transfer the funds, but at least ask if they'll do something about it to starve them off funds

Shit Edgarf,
really sorry to hear about that. Scary stuff. Really nice to see everybody trying to help out. I run my website on wordpress. and now I am spooked. Are there any plugins or other security measurements you recommend taking to make sure (or reduce the chance) you dont get hacked. In addition, did you discover how they got you? It was just due to "Casinofetch - the portal?"
