The UK government plans to introduce a £5 stake limit for online slot machines, with a £2 limit for young players, as part of efforts to tighten regulation on the £11 billion gambling industry. The move aims to align online stake limits with those in physical casinos and sportsbooks, addressing concerns over problem gambling, particularly among young adults. While some welcome the measures, others argue for stricter regulations, citing the addictive nature of slot machines and the need for additional safeguards such as slower spin speeds and affordability checks.

Forcing people to do X, Y and or Z, with their own, already taxed money, is a recipe for disaster. Fact is gambling is ONLY a problem for a small minority. Like alcoholism, and other legal activities.

Yes, those with an addiction, any addiction, need help. But on the same token, their adults. Someone may finally address their gambling problem, when, they blow their rent money. While another person, may not seek help until they're penniless/homeless.

However there is NO quick fix for this. Trying to control people's free will, never works.

The UKGC and other UK Gov., organisations in this clique, could have implemented positive changes for all. Instead, and like most Gov., bodies in charge of public affairs, they royally fucked it up.

Now, it's likely that UK gamblers will focus on off-shore venues.

This is why people break the law. They keep everything so damn complicated. And that only hits the licensed operators.

So... it's looking like non-UK licensed casinos is the way ahead for UK traffic. We have loads of UK accepted brands to promote (lots of SpinLogic, for example) but very few that offer the player UK£ as a banking/play option. I'm only aware of AffDynasty/whatever they're called now... and ATM, they're not on the table for promotion given their recent mayhem.

So, anyone able to suggest better UK accepted - NON-UK-LICENSED - casinos offering UK£ play/banking?

F**k the UK market, that is what I have to say. The UKGC doesn't give a single shit about "player protection". How is 90-92% RTP better for players than when we had 96-97% RTP. You can't win shit these days.

I used to dislike affiliates who promoted offshore casinos that accepted UK players but it doesn't matter anymore. Gamblers are going to gamble and there are several crypto casinos that are far, far better than anything available on the UK market.

The UKGC is a bunch of morons and it's all a symptom of a more controlling society we live in. These cunts want to control every aspect of our lives, be it our bank accounts, the useless covid vaccine they tried to force on us, our freedom of speech, social media etc etc.

Don't comply. Simple as that. The UK has become a shitty dystopian totalitarian shit hole.

It has been seen so many times before in other markets. The stricter the rules the more off-shore unlicensed activity grows. Less tax revenue, but problems are there to stay.

Would also be interested to hear of any non UK licensed brands accepting GBP or popular crypto.

Same here in AU. On the news last night, South Aussie gov., announced it was putting a halt on elective surgeries, because of a huge increase in covid patients.

The reporter, interviewed a guy who was booked to have a hernia op this week. But now canceled.

Poor bugger needs two walking sticks, and can't bath or dress himself. Worked ALL his life paying taxes and now when he needs help, well on the rubbish tip you go.

The interview pans back to the Gov., speaking.

I bet if any of these goofs needed a hernia op, that procedure wouldn't be canceled.

The state and the country is run by Gov's., the people (public) VOTE these public-representatives into office. Because they believe they will work for the people, to provide a better class of living for the people.

Instead, the people end up getting shafted, and the Gov., leaders give all the politicians pay-rises.
