This followed a plea bargain with the district court in Tel Aviv.
So did he serve those 18 months, or was it commuted to some pissy good behaviour bond or something similar. Adding, I would have thought anyone convicted of insider trading, and those other related convictions, he would also be banned from company directorship for literally years, if not a life ban.
I wonder how much his company (Playtech) have indirectly stolen from affiliates over the years. Guess enough to live a life of luxury, 3x over or more.
He's not the 1'st online gaming identity to come up against a court for insider trading. Can't recall the software (casinos) but it was proprietary. The director (banned from trading for 10 years in Canada), simply handed the company reins over to his daughter, but clearly he was calling the shots.
While on a role... I believe one of the owners of Golden Palace ran foul of the law too. Then there's the owner of Virtual Casino Group.
Aside from that, affiliates having to place 100% trust in program, is just too temping for anyone whos moral and ethical compass is broken, to shave...just sayin. We deal with such honest people in this industry, don't we
