I know that there has been significant upheaval at AE, and that the immediate impression is NOT good. It appears that some very sharp "industry consultants" have been brought in and they have attempted to make wholesale changes to boost bottom line numbers in the short term.

I am giving the AE program and managers a period of adjustment and attempting to get them to realise that long-term relationships are better than a short term boost - because given the changes that have been splashed about this will be a very short term boost as a tarnished program has very little longevity and zero resale value.

If they were sharp would they not know or anticipate the fallout?

In business this is used to to refer to business practices that are unpopular, overbearing and on the edge of legality, perhaps overstepping the mark.
These consultants are definitely "sharp" ... it NOT a good thing.

While I'm almost 99.999% sure that when our industry was 'cowboy town', affiliates were still being shaved etc. The BIG difference then to now, we were ALL making making money, and lots of it!!! With such heafty monthly cash flows, it was easy to not let those negatives affect you. But now things have changed, and making that money isn't anywhere near as easy as it once was.

Yet the demand to feed the beasts are still here. More so than ever before.

TBH I don't trust any program these days, because there a just way too many signals telling me that my stats are questionable.

Do I think some programs cook-the-affiliate-books? Yes!

I've got programs where I'm constantly doing decent 5 figure deposits each month, yet, NGR at End of Month, dives to 4 figures. If this is an example of what other affiliates are seeing, then I have wonder how these casinos stay in business. Simple answer, impossible. So clearly, least in my mind, something is not Kosher here.

But what do you do? No point complaining. Not like a program is going to admit to fraud. So you just keep going, hoping, you'll have a good month.

I'm getting old (56 this year). And, like yourself dfiocch, I'm at the point where I'd rather be stress free from ALL this BS. I've got a few options, other than being a casino affiliate. I'm just kinda sad that after investing 17 years of hard work, I'm now being shafted by the programs I've been loyal to all these years. Guess when you work with sharks, eventually you'll lose a limb!

This affiliate program was always recommended to affiliates, but we never did well with them. It was difficult to bring in depositing players, when other affiliate programs would bring in dozens of new depositors each month. Last month, we actually made a profit and they paid us.. which is surprising considering what is happening now.

Some affiliates have taken a wait and see approach, but I'm growing tired of waiting for affiliate programs to wake up and figure out the right way to run a business. I can make huge changes to a web site in 24 hours, so I don't understand why these affiliate programs need days, months, and sometimes years to get positive changes approved and implemented.

Although highly respected, recommended and honest, Affiliate Edge were ALWAYS a "second rate" program to promote IMHO.
They COULD have been the best, but by poor management decisions (greed?), they chose not to be.
The main problems were:

• NCO on earnings.
• Lower Rev Share % than most other RTG brands.
• Worse player Welcome Bonus terms than most other RTG casinos
• Less USA Deposit & Withdrawal methods than most other RTG casinos

If they had addressed these issues years ago, they could have been stellar, but now look what's happened...
Instead of IMPROVING the operation, they have gone to the "dark side" and are facing a very uncertain future.
What a ridiculous wasted opportunity...

The monthly reports show total deposits, revenue etc. On the info sent to me so far you can see that around February 2017 in particular, the deposits nosedived in many cases from averaging thousands a month prior to the detagging to zip, nada.

Akin to thousands of lemmings jumping off a cliff. Also I have spoken to some affiliates who are in contact with their players and they know for a fact they are still playing, yet it was not reflected in the reports once they became detagged.

They are now with Legend Affiliates - and doing pretty well I would say!

I have the same issue and came across this thread. A dormant high roller has again become active under my affiliate edge account which has been set to 10%, no other plan I work with does this as it's lifetime value. Contacted them to increase and I would then restart to promote them, they completely ignored me. Stay very far away from them.

I never see these losers even mentioned anymore, except for when some low-life affiliate with no morals posts a payment receipt at GPWA.
