I've been messing around with crypto trading for the last year now. There was definitely a big market burst that took my investment down to a crazy low (although I'm still net-positive). I've been using the low market to DCA (Cost Dollar Averaging) my coins. I'll buy cheap, thereby lowering my average buy-in, and come out on top.

At this point I think too many folks just got scared and sold off at a price that was ridiculous. Give it until the end of the year and things will change, IMO. Of course it's a hugely volatile marketplace - so there is no way to say with 100% accuracy what will happen moving forward. so - take your profits when you can get them!

We need a week or two of good news, every time I look for crypto news the headlines are always bad news.

BTC and the other large crypos turn around quick. I stay away from the smaller cryptos because of all the pump and dump schemes. Another thing people may want to do if they are interested in trading, try out esignal charting software or any stock trading software. Learn how to read level 2. The chart patterns are the same as trading stock.

Question to all, what exchange do you use and why?

I'm starting some investment with IDEX but will be good to learn from other colleagues experience :)

I use: Bittrex, Binance, Poloniex, Cryptopia, and Kucoin.

Bittrex - because it had the most volume at the time I started the game
Binance - because it has the largest volume today
Poloniex - was just to differentiate more than anything else
Cryptopia - because they list coins first
KuCoin - Haven't traded on that one yet, but they are getting some of the coins pretty quick.

I trade mostly on Binance now, but I have most of my $$ tied up on Bittrex.

IDEX is great in that its decentralized, but they only offer ERC20 token trading against ETH.

Binance is one of the most popular exchanges, with huge volume, and a verity of many different coins. Much different trading experience.

On another note, has everyone seen this? https://www.slotlandaffiliates.com/brands/cryptoslots/

CryptoSlots by SlotlandAffiliates, seems they have very few restrictions when accepting players, no country restrictions listed, and only needing an email address to signup.

Hopefully this will be the future with more to come.

I like Slotland and Winaday but I can't understand why they have done this:

Major crytocurrencies accepted + instant deposits are converted to USD for immediate play

Why would you create a "crypto only" casino that converts deposits into USD while people play then convert back when they withdraw later? Especially when they operate under a next working day withdrawal policy. With the volatility in crypto-fiat exchange rates you could conceivably win at the casino and end up withdrawing less crypto than you started with. And vice versa of course. If they have to convert to one currency because their games can't handle multiple then convert to Bitcoin as the altcoin exchange rates are mostly pegged to that anyway.

yeah, but can you imaging 0.00001 BTC per roll?? lol. That would be difficult for most people to correlate to fiat currencies.

Thanks for sharing those sites, I will review them all.

Also another option if you don't want to go deep in knowledge and just want to "bet" if some cryptos will go up or down is eToro, they let people invest from $200, and with buy (price going up) or sell (price going down) option.

This is a question, any of the crypto-exchange sites offers that (to bet if the crypto go down?)

Thanks again

Stay away from eToro and any of the other shady binary options places. The whole industry is a scam.

That is why most crypto sites denominate in mBTC.

Case in point over the weekend. BTC dropped about 10% in USD value. So I could have deposited at the casino, played for a while and won 10% and withdrawn and gained nothing in BTC. You're effectively selling your crypto and buying it back later, making it a double gamble.

Could you explain more about it? I'm only studying it at the moment but didn't found reasons to believe its a scam.

Binance and coinbase/gdax however binance does not have btc/usd pairs. I saw the bitrex ceo on fast money talking about pairing USD/BTC soon.

If you can't answer that question to your own then keep your money in your pocket.

Crypto-currencies are volatile - they go up and down (mostly down at the moment) and are NOT for the faint hearted that ask whether they are safe.

My tip is to use the search feature of this forum and read. Read a lot. Years of useful information can be found in these pages. And AGD is kind enough to host it all for free!
