Hello everyone, I have been looking for a forum for a long time that talks about casino affiliate and you have done an excellent job.

However I have some questions, I hope my English is good. I live in Greece which is a European country and I have been dealing with a cryptocurrency affiliate for more than 5 years with a website in Greek on Wordpess. And I would also like to start an affiliate casino website. However, in Greece they have blocked several similar affiliate casino websites that are in Greek, but some that I have been following for about a year are still online, for example (https:// dimoskentrikontzoumerkon .gr I put it without the link) but I don't want to focus on Greece but to have a multi-translator plugin for different countries and an SEO tool to increase ranking in Google

The questions are the following:

1. Can I open a casino affiliate website?
2. A good site for hosting that accepts affiliate casinos.
3. and if I can write Greek and become an automatic translation in different px languages with gtranslate

Thank you very much, I await your reply and your experiences.

1. Yes - anyone can make an affiliate website.
2. I don't think there any any restrictions with hosts. I use Fasthosts and Ionos. They have never questioned any of my content.
3. I don't know anything about translations, sorry.

Welcome to the forum!

Some hosts don't allow gambling content. I can't remember who off the top of my head, but there are a couple of big ones that were closing hosting accounts for this a few years ago. I think it might have been bluehost and maybe hostgator?

That's hilarious :D :D :D
Yet they (Hetzer), have decade + reputation, of not doing jack, to clients who spam!

If you want hosting, you could try https://orangewebsite.com/ no one will hassle you there.

@baldidiot - it was hostgator.

ευχαριστώ πολύ, φαίνεται πολύ καλό. Γνωρίζετε το Cloudflare Hosting; με μια ματιά είδα αρκετές σελίδες εκεί.

You should start by not using a ccTLD if you're concerned with local regulations. .gr can help you a little bit SEO-wise, but it could cause other issues.

no, it will be on .com and I am thinking that it should not have keywords such as casino slots and the like. I don't know if this has anything to do with it.

I'm just thinking of doing it in English and having a sub website in Greek.

It sounds like you still have a lot of thinking and strategizing to do before you are ready to launch a casino affiliate site.

Not trying to be funny, but this isn't the easiest niche out there. Be prepared to open your wallet to buy links. Be prepared to have someone proofread your foreign content if you are going to use translation plugins. To be honest I would not reommend using those types of transaltion plugins in the first place.

Buy some research tools, semrush or ahrefs to do market research. Make sure you know what you are getting into before anything else.

I would not recommend starting in English, it will be much harder than if you would target the Greek language.

Thank you for your honesty. a year ago I tried to open a page in Greece and I had very good traffic. but the hosting and the domain were in Greece so it was forbidden and I closed it myself. and now I'm looking for ways to be as relaxed as possible to do the puzzle again

There are a lot of hosts out there that do not mind you running a casino site. Just don't use any Greek hosting, and like Mashed said earlier, do not use a .GR domain.

With the help of cloudflare you can easily circumvent any speed issues if your hosting is located a bit further from Greece.

Make sure the host is fast and reliable and does not mind the casino niche. That way you can use casino words as much as you like, because if you cannot use those words in your domain or your text, you are already putting yourself at a disadvantage before you start.

Most casino affiliates, on other forums, generally wont give two rats if newbies succeed or fail. However, here, most members will be honest, and tell you how it is.

Once upon a time being a casino affiliate, gave that person, a license to practically print-money. Lucrative doesn't even come close, to how incredibly this industry was pre-2010. Hell, when started in 2000, it was off the charts. There was no Wordpress then. You either coded yourself or paid a developer.

As you can imagine, because of no WP etc., etc., the competition between affiliates was low, and therefore mostly everyone, unless they completely sucked at being an affiliate, was making very nice coin.

EG - US$50K wasn't a huge commission back then.

I wont bore you or others with what has happened between 2010 > 2024. But I will say, there is probably 30,000+ wordpress sites, owned by affiliates - all promoting online casinos.

If you want to succeed in this business, you MUST have a burning passion to succeed.

12 to 14 hours days, 7 days a week, for the first 3 or so months, will build you a solid foundation. You wouldn't build a house on sand, don't build your affiliate business on thin-air!

Don't be concerned about buying links right now. Focus 100% of your effort on your site and its contextual content. Make your site stand out above those other 30,000+ WP sites. Avoid being just another WP cookie cutter ;)

orangewebsite is in Iceland. It's not a member of the European Union (EU). However, its relation to the EU is mainly based on the EEA Agreement, which came into effect in 1994.

Besides that, it has a strong Viking history, and with my Danish ancestry (GG grand-father), well...

Maybe that's why I'm so fiery... lol

Thank you for the valuable information, you all helped me a lot.

one last thing. when a site is blocked from the target country, does the hosting server give access to the person in charge to block it?

The Greek Gov., (hence the .gov.gr domain) would have a law in place, which prevents residents of that Country, from accessing online gambling sites from that Country, which are not licensed in that Country. Access is usually blocked by the ISP.

So, if you asking whether you could changed this rule on a hosting account? NO :D

Of course a VPN or sometimes just using a different; other that one's ISP DNS setting, EG - Google public DNS setting, can bypass this stuff.

Google Public DNS: 8.8.8.8 | secondary 8.8.4.4
CloudFlare: 1.1.1.1 | secondary 1.0.0.1

NB - If Greece in not allowed at certain casinos, then the casino will block Greek visitors. Using a VPN to sign up to and deposit/play at a casino which does not allow Greek residents, will likely have winnings voided!
