"Do you promote Videoslots?"
Weak arguments like that are following my path since years, when I protect people in this industry. On the contrary to some high intelligent and wonderful people here my thousands of posts on GPWA are a good mixture of fighting the evil and praising the good, even if I never worked for them, with huge and nice posts, with videos, with everything I can, but not for money or because I worked or work for them. No, only because they deserve it. This is the difference. My lucid diary on GPWA has now more than 160,000 views and is the most read thread ever. I did not paid for the views. They are real. And so I hope it is not asked too much for more serious arguments and not for "Do you promote Videoslots?", what is not the case.
My question is quite vital since at least I care more if I am invested in a casino/affiliate company. What happened at Affiliate Edge is also really bad but since I never worked with them I tend to stay out of the discussion. To see my earnings with Videoslots get cut with 25% overnight without notice is a big deal for many affiliates. And when VS keep denying it, people get suspicious and lose trust in them. Why would we stay positive about VS in this case? Sure, Videoslots has many good advantages as well - feel free to open a new thread and I will pitch in with what I like about VS.
If you still don't like arguments like the above I will give you a few other ones that you might like or can relate to:
- What if you hired a carpenter to renovate your kitchen and you agree on an hourly rate of $100/h. However, in the contract, you signed there are really no actual numbers. They don't want to put the actual numbers in the contract. Just that the carpenter will charge you an hourly rate + costs for tools and kitchen appliances that he will buy. Would you be suspicious?
- What if the invoices you are receiving every month does only contain a lump sum and no specifications. The company keeps promising that they will get more specifications and that it will take 2-3 weeks for them to fix their invoice templates. In reality, it takes them a couple of years with broken promises. Would you be suspicious?
- What if you suddenly notice that there is a 25% increase in the cost. When asking them about the numbers they just say that it has always been like this. They say that there has not been any increase. Would you be suspicious?
- You now start to receive specifications and that is great. However, you will only receive the specifications from this day on. No previous breakdowns are being given to you. They say it is a technical limitation in the system. Would you be suspicious regarding all your old invoices?
- People quit at the company and you get a new contact. When asking the new guy about previous issues or previous agreements he just says that he can not answer to what happened before he started the company. That the current prices have always been like this. He doesn't take any responsibility at all. Would you be suspicious?
The above things are happening with Videoslots and their earnings, agreements, breakdowns, promises. Many affiliates have noticed the decrease in earnings (with the same traffic). The problem when being on rev-share is that it is not as easy to just leave the company and change to another operator since you have lots of players tagged to you that you have spent lots of money to acquire.
Trust and transparency go hand in hand when making business. If there is no transparency people gets suspicious (and in many cases rightfully so). This is why the new blockchain technology will either force current casinos to change and become more transparent or they will go down. Can't wait for the blockchain revolution to happen.
A couple articles that talks about how important transparency is for the trust of a brand:
