I'm not sure you understand me. Lets say you are successful & Martyn closes their account. Whoever controls those domains then selects from 100s of other affiliate programs and starts redirecting there instead. Then you can repeat this cycle over and over and over again. Whack a mole, all of it doing nothing to improve your own business, service your own players, or make you more money. What a waste of time and effort.

Or just remove your links and forget about it.

Its far more reprehensible that these guys shut down I assume without telling players. Or perhaps they are still running the casinos but not the websites? *** AHA... hadn't seen Daera's post above before posting that. Thanks Daera

I don't work this way.
What effects me effects my players and other affs, casinos? Perhaps I am reading you wrong again. Not everyone reads these forums. It's up to us to not just remove our own banner but to stop it altogether. Keep an 'eye' on this aff so he can't move on further.

How many banners do you think are out there vladi that don't read here and what is our obligation to other affiliates?

No you misunderstand again. All I am saying is that you are wasting your time hunting down an account which can easily be replaced when your time could be better spent on doing your own thing (which now reminds me how much time I have wasted on this pointless argument).

I understand your sentiment but don't see how bugging Martyn and then the next affiliate manager and then the next etc protects any other affiliates who are still sending traffic there. Publicising that the casinos have shut down - yes good move because other affiliates will know to take down their links. But going after the domain holder's account does nothing to help any other affiliate. The domains will still exist, unaware affiliates will still send traffic and they will earn zero either way, whether there is a redirect on it or not.

Anyway I can see this is going nowhere except around in circles, so I'll leave it at that and wish you well!

++ One last thing. Looks like the domains were updated yesterday. Could have been simply stolen.

Somebody find out from Debbee Silverman who owns these two outfits, I mean she did just work for them a couple months back so she of all people should know who is behind them and who owns them ...right?

Don't think I have ever worked for a company anywhere in the world and not know who owned it ;)

@Martyn, you sell my email info bro, ya gotta split the funds with me..;D

I hear players can still login at the casinos and play

Should we not warn players to be careful?

I don't know who owns the place but I do remember that Warren gave a public statement that he severed ties I think it was on CAP I am not sure. I then remember Lou shouting out that they had screwed him over and he wanted his players back etc on facebook months back as I said I just thought I remembered that this was how things went down and I would not defend anyone that has anything to do with something this shady at the same time I am not making judgement on anyone until there is proof on who is behind this etc.

I am not about to toss out any accusations or names until I know exactly what I am saying. With this type of thing you need to make sure you have facts right. I need to get some sleep and then I will be back but I think by that time Martyn will have an answer for us all.

To the owners you need to get in touch with someone here at AGD today to resolve this situation!

There you go if Lou or Warren owned the place I can promise I would know since I am very good friends with Debbee. I don't think it is fair to call her an ex employee to the table over their shady stuff. I am happy to direct her to this thread but I am quite sure she has seen it already.

So get Deb on the horn Streak and find out who the owners are then. Info like this should not ever be withheld from their affiliate partners when they are taking money from the public sector. Especially in a situation like this one.

Deb should not have any kind of non-disclosure agreement still in place in regards to who the actual owners are. There maybe a non-compete agreement but that's a whole nother can of worms there.

I will let Debbs speak for herself she is I am sure sleeping at the moment guys don't expect everyone to be able to just jump right on this thread give them time to respond. Settle down a bit is all I am saying and lets see how this plays out without a flame war. I need to get some sleep be back in a few hrs.

I just caught up on this thread now and wanted to add that Debbee is in no way connected to CWC (other than a friend and ex-employee of CWC) and granted she knows a lot of people but I am sure she has other things to sort out than to get involved in this.

As far as I am concerned this is a matter between CWC Affiliates and this affiliate account. Yes, affiliates are affected and that is down to you guys and girls on how you react, but bringing more people into this can only cause a larger mess and greater chance for Chinese Whispers.

Yea Martyn, most of us know that Deb has not been at CWC for quite awhile now. I think you may have mis-understood what I said above bro. I was saying that Deb should in-fact know who the owners of Slot Power and Vanguard are since she just worked there a few months ago as affiliate manager. :)

This would be good/relevant information for us to have here. Who the owners of Slot Power and Vanguard are.

OK Guru sorry. I just wanted to make it clear that this is between CWC and the affiliate. If she wants to pipe in thats her business but she'll be asleep right now. :)

This is where we stand right now.

We have been in contact with the affiliate involved and ordered that they cease and desist with this activity in promoting CWC brands. In addition we have closed the affiliate account in question.

I will keep you informed of any further developments

Cheers,

Here is what happened. So sad that we were all fighting because of CAP.

Absolute slots changes their name to Slot power. - Gambling Portal Webmasters Association

I think it's safe to say that CAP is benifiting from the affilite tag. Sorry bs, really no offense but it really is infuriating. Unless you have proof otherwise, that is my conclusion. When being dishonest it comes back to bite right in the AZZ! (not you! LOL but warren, cap and anyone involved in that!)

I do luv u mucho bs. :D

Mojo, their affiliate program was once run by Effective Media, Lou's company, and Warren had some official position there. That company has long gone defunct and Slotpower was never owned by Effective Media. Effective Media was a consulting company and ran a couple of affiliate programs. It had nothing to do with CAP, the affiliate message board, and when Lou and Warren parted ways, it remained Lou's property, seperate from the company that owns CAP. CAP itself went through a settlement procedure and Lou was bought out.

Effective Media has been on the slab and was just waiting for the state of Florida to be removed from the books last time this issue was visited a few month's ago. It is not in business and not a functioning company. Hence it isn't profiting from anything, and it is not connected to CAP. The only connection was that Lou once owned part of CAP, and he also owned his own company, Effective Media.

I hope that clarifies things.

Update!

Vanguard's website is now back up as normal :emoticon-0169-dance
Slot Power is still down though. :(

My gut feeling all along is that this was a server issue, and not them "going bust".
Time will tell eventually...

Your link on your Rival page is still re-directing also...

You Americans - always behind the times! :p

I works OK here in the UK when I click on this link on my Rivals page:-
http://vanguardcasino.com/get/a/369948

Maybe it's only just come back up and is intermittent - I don't understand tech stuff!

I stopped promoting these guys a long time ago, however vanguardcasino works fine here on the east coast, via type in and KK's link.

slotspower still redirect to Manhattan slots but the internal pages return a 404 error via Google sitelinks.

hard to believe this is a deliberate redirect or a sloppy one at best.

Why not redirect to another Rival brand? Peter wants to buy brand A and you try and sell him brand B? ???
